Apple Reveals New Dual-Port 35W USB-C Charger

A report from 9to5Mac says that Apple accidentally reveals a 35W USB-C charger with two ports. This would be the first dual-port USB-C power adapter that Apple has ever released and with 35W of power.

The USB-C charger would be able to charge two devices at a time. For example, you can charge an iPhone 13 Pro Max and an Apple Watch at the same time or it’s USB-C power adapter, so there are a lot of possibilities with it.

The USB-C charger would be powered by gallium nitride (GaN) technology that might also make it smaller and lighter form factor due to its improved power efficiency. GaN chargers are smaller and faster than their rivals. 9to5Mac says the leaked document states that each port can operate in one of the following four modes: either 5VDC/3A, 9VDC/3A, 15VDC/2.33A or 20VDC/1.75A.

Earlier in March, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had mentioned the possible launch when he tweeted that Apple “may release its next GaN charger in 2022, which supports about 30W and has a new form factor design.”  According to a leaked document, the USB-C cable will not be included with USB-C power adapter.
