Samsung Launched Galaxy XCover 5 Rugged Smartphone With Military-Grade Certification

Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 rugged smartphone has been launched and it will go on sale in the European market from March 12. Samsung launched the Galaxy XCover 5 four years after the Galaxy XCover 4 and the phone comes with a lot of improvements and upgrades. It comes with a replaceable battery and the touchscreen works even when you're wearing gloves.

Samsung says its new Galaxy XCover 5 is equipped with various features to handle demanding tasks. It comes with a shock absorption capability that allows it to withstand drops of up to 1.5 meters. The phone comes with an IP68 rating and US military certification (810G) for water, dust, and shock resistance. It also comes with a Glove-Touch feature for allowing users to use the phone while wearing gloves.

Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 runs Android 11 and features a 5.3-inch HD+ TFT display with thick bezels all around. The rugged phone measures 147.1x71.6x9.2mm. It is powered by the octa-core Exynos 850 processor and comes with 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of storage.

Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 has a 16-megapixel rear camera with an f/1.8 lens. On the front, it houses a 5-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 lens. It comes in dual-SIM/Single-SIM variants. The phone include face recognition. It has a 3,000mAh battery that is replaceable. The phone also comes with 15W fast charging support.

Samsung Galaxy XCover 5 also include XCover Key (The push-to-talk function allows users to stay in contact with anyone throughout the day with a simple push of a button, making it easier for colleagues to communicate with one another). The phone includes Geomagnetic, Light, Gyroscope, and Proximity Sensor. You get a USB Type-C port with Pogo pin connectors for fast charging and it supports NFC as well.
